Come dance at the Quince Grange!
Join us Sunday, September 13 from 4:30–7 PM for an old-fashioned community contra dance and fundraiser for the Quince Grange, with live music by Skamokawa Swamp Opera and Dave Ambrose calling the dances.
Never contra danced before? Perfect. Contra is a traditional form of community folk dancing where a caller walks everyone through the dances and calls the steps as the music plays. No experience or dance partner needed.
Come at 4:30 PM for a brief beginner lesson with Dave where we’ll learn the basic moves and practice some of the called dances before the dancing gets underway.
We’ll also have locally grown popcorn, honey sodas, and baked goods available for purchase throughout the evening.
